Richard Oster is a professor of New Testament Studies at the Harding Graduate School of Religion.  He earned his BA from Texas Tech and his MA from Rice University. He studied at Princeton Theological Seminary and earned a doctorate degree in 1974.  He and his wife, Sandy, have three children and reside in Memphis, TN.  He is a world acclaimed scholar with expertise in the study of ancient Ephesus.  He has written numerous articles in academic journals and has contributed to the Anchor Bible Dictionary.
